MMoths is pretty effin' cool and he makes some bloody great tracks.
Case in point: 'Hearts' featuring Keep Shelly in Athens. With it's orchestral ambience combined with a youthful atmosphere, that most of us secretly pine for here in the Clash offices, it transports you back to a time when you were young, free and didn't have a care in the world as your only worry was 'Will mum and dad notice that I'm absolutely hammered?' or “How red do my eyes look?”.
Keep Shelly' in Athens’ vocals are hauntingly beautifully and gentle and they brilliantly compliment the Irish producer's laid back production style. Whilst the instrumental is available you’re better off with his version as it seems more complete.
Having uploaded a number of tracks via Soundcloud he signed to LA based record label SQE this year and released his self-titled EP last March to much critical fanfare. MMoths follow-up EP ‘Diaries’ will be out on 5th March 2013 and is set to feature the vocal talents of Holly Miranda and Young & Slick.
You can catch the 18 year old Irish Man playing live at Clash’s EastNotEast alongside Minotaur Shock on the 12th December so don’t miss out.
