Track Of The Day 26/2 - Reptile Youth

We're All In Here
Reptile Youth

Rock 'n' roll isn't so much a sound as an attitude.

A way of walking, a way of talking... rock 'n' roll is a spirit, it's there in each groove of vinyl, of piece of code in an mp3.

Reptile Youth hail from Denmark, and - as yet - are unsigned. Not that the Copenhagen group have let that stand in their way, with new album 'Rivers That Run For A Sea That Is Gone' dropping on March 10th.

Fusing synth-pop melodies with a punk attitude, Reptile Youth have a playful spirit which is steeped in rock 'n' roll lore.

Organising a one off London show, the duo (Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen and Esben Valløe) will bring their explosive live show to the capital this Spring.

Ahead of this, though, Reptile Youth have handed Clash is neat premiere. 'We're All In Here' is rollicking electronic fare, with an 80s bounce which lifts you out of your seat.

Yet the band can't resist a cheeky slight at the rock gods, adding in some vocal harmonies which bear a passing resemblance to the Rolling Stones' 'Sympathy For The Devil'.

Listen to it now.

Reptile Youth are set to play the Shacklewell Arms in London on April 4th.
