La Shark have been ignored for too damn long.
The London group make the kind of itchy, contagious funk which David Byrne called his own, yet with a brattish, art school sensibility which could only come from a few years in the Big Smoke.
The past 12 months, though, have seen the world come around to their skewed vision. An extensive UK tour saw La Shark reach places they'd never been before, while upcoming compilation 'Yearbooks' is an extensive 21 track summary of their career thus far.
Seven years, countless gigs and a handful of golden singles have led to it. With a studio album (proper) due to emerge next year, La Shark decided that the time was nigh to unveil their new single.
'Prison Palace' is loud, glaring and - finally - impossible to ignore. The sleazy gyrations of Prince meshed with glorious synth pop, it emerges on November 18th but you can check it out first below.
'Prison Palace' is set to be released on November 18th.
