Track Of The Day 19/9 – Gel Set

'Don't You Miss Me?'

There's a world of difference between Los Angeles and Chicago.

Two very different cities with very different atmospheres, multi-media artist Laura Callier found it extremely difficult to move from one to the other.

Re-locating to Los Angeles, she found the fragmented structure of the city, it's long, spread out geography, extremely alienating, and it left her lonely.

Channelling these feelings back into her music, the composer pushes herself towards the Gel Set project.

Dreamy, hazy electro-pop that seems to bubble out of the sub-conscious, new album 'Body Copy' is set to arrive on October 20th.

First, though, Clash can unveil new single 'Don't You Miss Me?', an alluring, atmosphere piece of drifting synth Pointillism.

One for fans of Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith or even Laurel Halo, it's a sign that Gel Set's new album will be well worth exploring.
