Musically speaking, not a lot happens in Winchester.
Yet the sleepy Middle England town is exactly where Bo Keeney chose to record his new EP. Working in a studio placed within a converted shipping container, the one-time California resident allowed his imagination to trace out evocative new paths along the walls.
Partly hip hop, partly electronic and partly pop, Bo Keeney's output has a surreal edge which gets under your skin. New release 'Versus' comes via Brew Box and boasts a variety of different remixes.
Bristol posse My Nu Leng provide some bass weight, while drum 'n' bass outfit Spectrasoul also contribute. However for our final Track of the Day this week Clash have plumbed for something with a real sense of colour.
Throwing Snow adds a genuine sense of fragility to 'Golden Telephone', piecing apart the track and gluing it back together again.
