Oliver Deutschmann is - simply - a legend.
The German producer is a resident at the Berghain, Berlin's clubbing crucible and one of the most important nightspots on the planet. A place where reputations are made and shattered, Deutschmann has stayed ahead of the curve for a decade.
Co-operator of the Vidab label alongside Stephen Hill, Oliver Deutschmann has proved adept at unearthing new talent and coaxing exclusive releases from top artists.
Yet alongside this, the producer has quietly, patiently pursued his own sound, his own methodical approach. 'Breakdown' EP finds Oliver Deutschmann continuing to push ahead.
A four track release, the material is out on October 23rd via Caduceus Records - but Clash can offer you something exclusive in the meantime.
On the flip, you can find the LAD remix of 'Braineater'. From the title alone you should be aware that this is straight up techno fare, with bubbling Acid basslines colliding with percussive metallics.
The extended LAD remix takes the track one step further, stretching out, billowing and evolving in true Berlin spirit.
