Sun is shining, weather is sweet.
Spring is beginning to flower across the country, with the final clouds of winter billowing, dissipating, disappearing.
It's natural, then, to search out new sounds. Out with the old, they say, but within those iPod cleansing manoeuvres make sure to not overlook BeatauCue.
A French duo signed to (where else?) Kitsune, the pair are responsible for bright, buoyant house with an intelligent edge. New single 'Kyllan' arrives just in time for those rays of March sunshine, with BeataCue picking up the temperature but leaving the tempo at a nice, relaxed speed.
Warm, lush house with a deep, meditative bass end, flip side 'Evola' is just right for this time of year. There's an inner euphoria here, for sure, a hands-in-the-air quality which is already looking forwards to the festival season.
Out on March 31st, 'Evola' still retains traces of winter sluggishness, though, with those deep bass vibrations clinging to your skin like rain.
Check it out now.
BeatauCue are set to play Kitsuné Club Night Easter Special at London's Village Underground on April 19th.
