TOY and Natasha Kahn are set to pair up on new single 'The Bride' - listen to it below.
Using his London studio as a base, Dan Carey's Speedy Wunderground imprint is rapidly turning into one of the most intriguing boutique imprints in the UK.
The latest release pairs two unique talents, both working against the clock to meet Carey's strict schedule. TOY are currently working with the producer, and took time off to take part in the project.
One of the tracks fuelling those sessions was 'Aroos Khanom' by Amir Rassaie from the compilation 'Funk, Psychedelia and Pop from the Iranian Pre-Revolution Generation'.
Re-working the track, the band jammed on the chord sequence before Bat For Lashes singer Natasha Kahn dropped by. Grabbing hold of (a translated version of) the lyrics, the track was completed in just five hours.
Listen to it below.
Available on seven inch vinyl in a limited batch of 250 copies, the flip contains a dub version of the track titled 'Here Comes The Dub Bride'.
'The Bride' will be available from July 1st.
