Toddla T has confirmed details of an album launch party in London this Friday (August 26th).
Well, it's finally here. Two years in the making, Toddla T has grown a lot during the making of 'Watch Me Dance'. Spending time in Jamaica, he soaked up some original soundsystem vibes before signing with Ninja Tune.
Out now, 'Watch Me Dance' is a fun, pop infused offering from the dancehall oddball. In places a little frothy, but overall the boy wonder has followed up 'Skanky Skanky' with some serious party vibes.
Itching to get out there, Toddla T is set to launch the album this Friday (August 26th). Grabbing a few friends as back up, the man himself will be taking over the Drop Dead clothing store on Kingly Street between 1pm - 7:30pm.
T Weez is set to DJ, while some special guests have been lined up throughout the day. Alongside the album, there will be plenty of limited 'Watch Me Dance' items available for purchase.
A great way to warm up, the full party takes place later that night. London's Corsica Studios will be the venue, with Room 1 occupied by Toddla T himself alongside help from Coldcut head honcho Jon More.
In Room 2 UK garage pioneer Zed Bias will unleash a few old favourites while Shola Ama is set to perform a rare live PA set. Finally Room 3 will be occupied by Joe Goddard and Raf Daddy's house project The 2 Bears with support from Martelo and Terri Walker, and rising star PhOtOmachine.
Meanwhile, Toddla T's label Ninja Tune are set to host a night at the Big Chill. The imprint's hip hop fuelled Big Dada arm will unite with the venue to launch the Four Roses soundsystem on September 9th.
Rising Liverpool rapper Bang On! is due to appear alongside Elan Tamara, Offshore and Dobie.
