One of the biggest musical success stories of 2008, Manchester duo The Ting Tings are planning to record their second album in early 2009 it has emerged.
The band told Teletext that they are desperate to get back in the studio. Debut album 'We Started Nothing' was a massive success, spawning huge hits such as 'That's Not My Name' and 'Great DJ'.
The band explained that "the last record took three or four months to write, and we're looking at a similar time for the next one". The Ting Tings are looking to expand their sound, with singer Katie White picking up the bass. As she revealed "I'm good on rhythm guitar, but I quickly worked out bass is not my instrument. That won't affect the new songs too much."
The Tings Tings are set to begin recording their second album in early 2009.
