Tim Hart’s Touching ‘I’d Do Well’ Is Soothingly Autumnal

Check it out now...

The drummer has the best seat in the house, or so they say.

But it also gives them a vantage point, a place to observe what's going on around. Boy & Bear drummer Tim Hart certainly has that observational skill, and it's something expressed in his solo work.

2012 debut 'Milling The Wind' was a lovely, lilting, low key gem, while new record 'The Narrow Corner' promises more of these under-stated, Autumnal thrills.

"I’m really interested in the way we write about love and good or bad times," says Hart. "A lot of people write about love and loss with anger and passion. But there’s something nice about when passion has gone away and the anger is not so acute, but the reality is still there. As if you’re scarred from an event and have to carry it with you but life goes on. So I find the complacent and the mundane really interesting, because it holds that and that’s what life is like most of the time."

Clash is able to premiere new track 'I'd Do Well', a soothing, touching return that places Tim Hart in introspective mode.

He tells Clash: "I'm really stoked to be releasing my new single 'I'd Do Well'. For me this song was written in one of my more introspective moments on tour. Missing home and thinking back to living life a bit more simply."
