Tilda Swinton For Patrick Wolf Album

Patrick Wolf's forthcoming album 'Battle' is set to include a very special guest appearance from award winning actress Tilda Swinton, it has been announced.

Some years in gestation, Patrick Wolf's new album 'Battle' has been funded through the Bandstocks project, a website that offers fans the chance to buy a share in a new album. Helping to fund the recording process, the fans are then rewarded with a host of goodies.

Patrick Wolf approached Swinton after seeing her appear in the film 'Julia'. Handing her a CD and a handwritten note, Swinton emailed the singer almost immediately and will provide spoken word narration that appears throughout the album.

As the actress explains "my feeling is that we almost certainly come from the same planet: kith and kin. His music feels like the unexpressed soundtrack of a great film I want to see - and try to catch every night before I go to sleep. It's a lovely thing to be a part of that magical landscape."

Patrick Wolf will release new album 'Battle' this year, through his own Bloody Chamber Music imprint.
