Underworld

Underworld, Moby, Damien Rice and many more have contributed tracks to a new album called 'Songs For Tibet - The Art Of Peace' due to be released on November 24th.

Tibet was an independent nation until the 1950s, when a Chinese invasion ended Tibetan sovereignty. With the Olympics held in China this year, the plight of the Tibetan people has been highlighted by a number of charities.

This album hit number four on the US Billboard charts in the week of its release, becoming the number one download in the process. Containing many exclusive gems, the album also features contributions from such massive acts as Garbage, Ben Harper and many more.

Founder of the 'Art of Peace' project Michael Wohl has the following to say about the album:

"The album represents an understanding that compassion and non-violence can overcome intolerance and oppression – beautiful ideals to be associated with the Olympic spirit. China's actions vis a vis the album underscored the extreme lack of freedom of expression for those living under Chinese rule, including Tibetans."

Featuring some of the music world's top talent, 'Songs For Tibet - The Art Of Peace' is released on November 24th.
