The Enemy

The Enemy will have a little extra luggage to take with them on their upcoming UK tour - the band won "Best British Album" for 2007 at last night's XFM Awards.

Emerging triumphant from an impressive shortlist including Klaxons, Kate Nash and The Pigeon Detectives, the award rounds off a superb breakthrough year for the band. It also sets a new bar for the hype around the band, soon to set out on an already sold-out nationwide tour.

The tour will be the band's biggest to date, with a five night stand at London's Astoria venue as well as a homecoming gig. The shows in Coventry will be the biggest the city have ever staged, and are likely to be scenes of mass celebration for both hometown fans and the band themselves.

The tour has already sold out, though tickets may still be obtainable from un-official sources. The dates are as follows:

March 19th / 20th - Manchester, Apollo
March 22nd - Dundee, Caird Hall
March 23rd - Edinburgh, Corn Exchange
March 28th / 29th / 30th / 31st - London, Astoria

April 1st - London, Astoria
April 5th / 6th - Coventry, Ricoh Arena
