Theme Park have confirmed a number of tour dates, with new single 'Jamaica' due for release on August 13th.

Jamaica celebrates the 50th anniversary of its independence this year, and salutes are coming in from different locations. Perhaps that's why Theme Park have named their new single in honour of the island...

'Jamaica' will be released on August 13th, with sessions continuing on the parent album. “I want it to be appreciated as a pop album, not the debut of some East London band making leftfield stuff,” singer Miles Haughton explained recently.

“Some albums you listen to and every song is nicely formed. That’s what we’re aiming for. It should all feel effortless and un-self conscious.”

Available both digitally and on seven inch vinyl, 'Jamaica' is the first sign of Theme Park's debut album. Watch the video below.

Meanwhile, Theme Park have a series of live shows. After a summer spent playing festival sets, the newcomers will join Bloc Party on their epic comeback jaunt this October.
