The Winehouse Look

British designer Julian McDonald has announced that Amy Winehouse will appear in his show in London Fashion Week in September, due to the singers’ great style and amazing talent.

The singer will make the appearance after recently scooping a record number of Grammies in the US, cementing her position as an icon. However critics are worried that her scruffy attire will inspire a new catwalk trend. Others think that she has already become a style icon in her own right, with people to imitate the Winehouse look of distorted fifties chic.

In February Amy Winehouse was offered £500,000 to appear at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris – a substantial sum for someone who has never modelled before. A powerful demonstration of the Winehouse brand, it is worth remembering that the singer works without a stylist.
