The View In Chart Battle

Neck and neck with Bruce Springsteen

Scottish indie stars The View are in a chart battle with none other than Superbowl rockin' musical legend Bruce Springsteen.

Bursting out of Dundee in 2007 with debut album 'Hats Off To The Buskers', The View seemed armed with a fistful of songs and a whole lot of ambition. Nearly two years of ceaseless touring and writing followed, in which time the group moved from small town heroes into the upper echelons of the charts.

Bruce Springsteen is fresh from helping create American political history after battling on the campaign trail with Barack Obama. New album 'Working On A Dream' was partially written during this time, and the atmosphere of hope permeates the album.

The pair have released albums on the same day, and are currently neck and neck in the charts. The View's debut album hit the top spot, but its follow up currently sits only a few thousand copies behind The Boss.

Lily Allen has already shown her support for the Dundee band - buying three copies of 'Which Bitch?' on the day it came out.

The View's new album 'Which Bitch?' is available now and is reviewed HERE. Stay tuned for chart updates!
