The Vaselines Add January Tour Dates

The Vaselines are set to play a series of British tour dates in the opening weeks of 2011.

Few bands are as sex obsessed as The Vaselines. Not even AC/DC could match the Glaswegian duo for filthy double entendres, delivered with the kind of style and panache that sets the group apart from imitators.

Returning with their long awaited - two decades, anyone? - album of new material, The Vaselines showed that age had not withered their libido. The Scottish group added new musicians, who seemed to be privy to a series of dirty jokes.

Ending the year with a flurry of tour dates, The Vaselines have watched 'Sex With An X' soar up the critical charts. Due to appear at the upcoming Bowlie 2 event, the band will keep the momentum going in 2011.

Announcing a series of live shows, The Vaselines will be supported throughout by jagged rock minimalists Schwervon. Opening in Sheffield on January 26th, the dates continue in Brighton's Coalition venue.

Hitting London on February 4th, The Vaselines will perform in the brand new XOYO venue. Finishing in York on February 6th, the band will then focus on St Valentines Day.

The Vaselines are set to release 'Mouth To Mouth' on February 14th, a typically passionate single for the big day. Referring to their upcoming single, Eugene Kelly said: "It's about someone who needs medical attention and maybe some mental and physical attention...some TLC and a bit of kissing also..."
