The Twang are gearing up for the release of their new album by announcing a homecoming show.
In a way, The Twang were let down by timing. The Birmingham band emerged in a blizzard of hype, but their debut album arrived just as the indie bubble burst. Hitting number two, 'Love It When I Feel Like This' seemed to be used by critics as an emblem of indie's hubris, of its immense over confidence.
Since then, though, The Twang have changed. Shaking things up, the band are currently working on material with Rory Attwell - the Thames-bound producer behind efforts from Splashh, Veronica Falls and more.
Taking time out the studio, the group have arranged plans for a one off homecoming show. Taking place on December 23rd at Birmingham venue the Rainbow, only 1000 tickets will go on sale for the gig with support acts set to be announced shortly.
A pre-sale for fans went on sale today (October 9th) with the full sale opening on Friday (October 11th).
