Iconic indie bandits The Strokes are amongst the latest additions to the line up of T In The Park.

One of the biggest festivals in Europe, T In The Park is able to call on some of the biggest names in music. Last year Jay-Z and Eminem topped a stellar bill, with 2011 shaping up to be a memorable year.

The latest additions to the line up have been announced, with The Strokes set to appear at T In The Park. The indie kingpins returned with their much discussed album 'Angles' earlier this year, and are now due to perform at Balado.

Their first performance at the Scottish event in almost a decade, The Strokes will rock the T In The Park crowd. Last year the New Yorkers closed RockNess, performing a career summarising set to the ecstatic crowd.

The band can expect a similar reaction at Balado. With the capacity creeping upwards, more people than ever will be attending T In The Park. Last year's set from Eminem broke records, with The Strokes hoping to put the Detroit rapper in second place.

Elsewhere, Peter Doherty will return to the Scottish event. Confirming a wider European tour, the indie icon will be hoping to put recent events - including a run in with the law - behind him once again.

Elsewhere, Fun Lovin' Criminals will get the party started while fast rising Nashville quartet Mona are also set to appear. With headliners including Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Foo Fighters and more this year's T In The Park looks set to be an epic instalment.

However one band have pulled out - Blink 182 will presumably not now be playing after cancelling their entire European tour.

Tickets are on sale now.

T In The Park runs between July 8th - 10th.
