Exclusive: Fab plays hard ball

The Strokes' Fabrizio Moretti has spoken about his split alegiances in an interview about his new band Little Joy.

But far from it being a given that he will drop Little Joy once the other Strokes come a-calling, he is giving serious thought to how he might continue with both bands. “I hope that I can balance my time,” he says, “because I want to devote myself whole-heartedly to The Strokes, obviously – I love those guys, and I’m really proud of the music we’ve made and excited for the future of The Strokes. "

Tempering that sentiment, Moretti continues, "But at the same time I really don’t want this to be just a side project. I dunno, I guess we’ll have to figure it out as it comes along, but I definitely don’t want to have to put anything on a backburner. And I feel like… I dunno, I do believe that if someone in The Strokes feels that they have to go and do a side project or something like that, it’d be difficult for The Strokes to get back together and work without any single part, but I feel like with this project the line-up live can change and stuff. I still haven’t figured it out, but I’m sure the answer’s there somewhere.”
