The Specials Live DVD Due

Tracklisting confirmed

Returning 2-Tone icons The Specials have announced details of a new live DVD due later this year.

Sometimes simple ideas are the best. The Specials took the rhythms of ska and blended it with punk's energy, giving a black and white template to a generation of British youth.

Skanking down the barriers, the band lasted for just two albums but took the British charts by storm. Becoming a phenomenon The Specials left a legacy that has spread across the globe, sparking numerous followers.

Returning last year, The Specials reformed without founding member Jerry Dammers. However despite that the Midlands group played a series of UK tours, selling out venues across the land.

Highlights include an appearance at Glastonbury and a sold out five night stint in London's Brixton Academy. The Specials are set to kick start 2010 with a number of other tour dates, as well as a new DVD.

Recorded at the band's Wolverhampton Civic Hall show last November, The Specials are caught in furious form in front of a partisan Midlands crowd. Opening with 'Do The Dog' the new DVD contains all the hits, before finishing with 'Too Much Too Young'.

Containing a full live set as well as backstage footage and rare interviews, the new DVD gives an insight into the reformed Specials. With their tonic suits in pristine condition it really feels like 1979 all over again.

'The Specials – 30th Anniversary Tour' is set to be released in March. Tracklisting is as follows:

'Do The Dog'
'(Dawning Of A) New Era'
'Gangsters'
'It's Up To You'
