Formed after a chance meeting in a vintage clothing shop, The Proper Ornaments have lived a sporadic, nomadic existence.
Releasing a handful of wonderful EPs, the odd single and even a compilation, the band have finally knuckled down to complete a full studio album (proper).
'Wooden Head' will be released on June 9th, with Fortuna POP! stepping in to aid the London based outfit. Recorded on a reel-to-reel four track, the material has a gritty, raw feel which is matched to the group's melodic flair.
New cut 'Summer's Gone' is online already, and it's a charmingly unkempt piece of neo-psychedelic whimsy.
Listen to it now.
'Wooden Head' is set to be released on June 9th. Catch The Proper Ornaments supporting TOY at London venue Shepherd's Bush Empire on April 26th.
