The Knife For Oya Festival

More additions confirmed
The Knife

After a lengthy break, The Knife will be performing at this year’s Oya Festival in Norway on the 10th of August, 2013.

Recently making a welcome return with their first LP in seven years, the group are set to join previously announced headliners Blur as well as an eclectic mix of performances ranging from metal rockers Slayer, rock-blues quartet Alabama Shakes to the controversial female rapper Azealia Banks.

The festival’s cross-cultural ethos is captured in its diverse, international line-up which includes the American sister trio Haim, UK psychedelia rock band Electric Wizard, the Icelandic based band Of Monsters and Men and Norwegian rockers Black Debbath.

The festival will also stage hotly tipped US bands for 2013 Metz and Skaters as well an impressive host of Rap and R&B stars including Angel Haze, Danny Brown and the newly reinvented Solange Knowles. Here’s hoping organisers have had the wherewithal to ensure Azealia Banks and Angel Haze’s performances take place on opposite ends of the line-up schedule following their recent, much-discussed twitter spat...

An onstage confrontation might not sit well against the picturesque setting of Middelalderparken in Oslo which gained the annual festival various awards including ’Greenest Festival in Europe’ and ’Best Medium Sized Festival’ last year.

Tickets are on sale now.
