The Killers have unveiled their latest festive single 'I Feel It In My Bones' - listen to it now.
The Killers' Christmas single is an odd little tradition. Far from a throwaway effort, the Las Vegas band take the festive period seriously and often invite genuine global stars - step forward Elton John! - to step into the studio with them.
With advent now under way, The Killers have unveiled plans for a new single. 'I Feel It In My Bones' will be released tomorrow (December 4th) via iTunes, with all proceeds set to be donated to Global Aids charity (RED).
Essentially a follow up to 2007's 'Don't Shoot Me Santa' the new single features a guest appearance from Ryan Pardey. Speaking to the NME, drummer Ronnie Vannucci described the Christmas release as "a bit more of a rock song" than their previous festive output.
"It was an idea we had and a demo we recorded when we working on 'Battle Born' and it was so good..." he said. "See what we do is we tend to make all these songs and then put them in a locker and find them way too late," he said. "This song was basically started a while back and we just finished it and changed it into more of a Christmas song. It was mixed by Alan Moulder, he did it when we were over in the UK a couple of weeks ago."
Continuing, Vannucci said: "I think it rides a line between Christmas and a 'Battle Born' track, but you'd be surprised what sleigh bells can do to a song!"
'I Feel It In My Bones' is streaming on Rolling Stone - listen to it HERE.
