The Killers helped to close T In The Park last night (July 14th) with a spectacular headline set.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in style, T In The Park opened on Friday (July 12th) to roaring sunshine. Scotland's biggest festival, forecasters had predicted mixed weather but fans were able to bask in the summer heatwave all weekend.
The Proclaimers opened the main stage, with the Edinburgh institution playing a 'Best Of' set. Elsewhere, Everything Everything returned to Scotland for a special set while other performers on the opening day included Calvin Harris, Chase & Status and a rare appearance from Kraftwerk.
Saturday continued with more seasonal sunshine, while Rihanna also brought a touch of glamour to Balado before leading into Sunday's fnale.
The day brought performances from Frank Turner, Hurts, Bastille and more, before The Killers took to the stage. Firm favourites with the T In The Park crowd, the band emerged onstage to the strains of Big Country before blasting through 'Somebody Told Me'.
Throwing in a few surprises, The Killers performed two covers: 'Shadowplay' by Joy Division and 'Side' by Scottish group Travis. Introducing the latter, Brandon Flowers said: "We used to play acoustic nights... We'd play 'Under The Gun', 'Mr Brightside' and this next song. Travis gave us hope".
Finishing their main set with 'All These Things That I've Done', The Killers returned for an encore. Playing 'When You Were Young' the band then ended the night with a celebratory version of 'Mr. Brightside'.
