Ray Davies, Richard Ashcroft and more added

The Hop Farm have added the final names to their 2012 line up, including Ray Davies, Richard Ashcroft and more.

With their no branding, no advertising ethos The Hop Farm have attempted to put the festival season back into the hand's of the fans. Looking at this year's line up, it's certainly obvious that plenty of thought, hard work and effort is going into 2012's instalment.

The latest announcement from The Hop Farm fills in the gaps on the current line up. Richard Ashcroft is set to play at the summer event, his only UK appearance at the festival season.

Elsewhere, Kinks icon Ray Davies is due to appear. Capable of drawing on one of British music's most sublime back catalogues, the songwriter remains a wonderful performer. Set to take part in The Hop Farm, Ray Davies joins a line up already dominated by the spectre of Bob Dylan and Patti Smith.

Other new additions to the line up include British Sea Power, The Futureheads, Welsh wonder Gruff Rhys, newcomer Mary Epworth and more.

As if that wasn't enough, last week The Hop Farm confirmed an exclusive festival appearance from Sir Bruce Forsyth - complete with Big Band...

Hop Farm founder Vince Power said: “I’m very happy with the bill. We have yet again put together a unique line-up of acts you’re not going to see repeated anywhere else. We have some true legends including Patti Smith and Randy Crawford and I think that’s what music fans look for; a well though out bill which is the best value festival this year at £162 for 3 days, 4 days camping with no added extras.”

The Hop Farm runs between June 29th - July 1st. Latest additions to the bill:

Richard Ashcroft (only Uk Show) / Kool and the Gang / George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic / Randy Crawford and Joe Sample Trio / The Levellers / The Futureheads / Gilbert O’Sullivan / Ian Hunter / Gary Numan / Bellowhead / British Sea Power / The Tallest Man on Earth / Gomez / Howling Bells / Peter Hook and the Light / Gruff Rhys / King Charles / Marcus Foster / Lights / Tanita Tikaram / Mary Coughlan / The Datsuns / Field Music / Treetop Flyers / Various Cruelties / Little Barrie / Cashier No 9 / Robert Francis / Jonquil / Mary Epworth / James Levy and the Blood Red Rose / The Sheepdogs / Dan Clews / Helen Boulding / Noah Francis / Yossarian / Flight Brigade / Maia / Holy Something
