The Hold Steady are set to toast their 10th anniversary with new album 'Teeth Dreams'.
Blue collar rock with a literary flair, The Hold Steady have spent ten years together. That works out as a decade on the road, a decade in the studio, a decade spent becoming one of the finest yarn-spinners in American music.
Spending time apart, the group recently emerged to work on a crowd-sourced covers EP. Now it seems that The Hold Steady have completed a new studio album, to be released later this year.
Billboard has the scoop, with upcoming LP 'Teeth Dreams' due to be unveiled via newly minted imprint Washington Square. "We’re really proud of our new record," said Tad Kubler, “this is an exciting time for us. Making the new record has been a journey for the band, and the results exceeded even our own expectations. Can't wait for people to hear it."
Washington Square is a new venture from Razor & Tie, whose CEO Cliff Chenfield had the following to say: "We are huge fans of The Hold Steady and could not be more excited that they will help us launch the new label. Washington Square will be a home for groundbreaking artists both established and new, who will make music that is vital and inspiring".
The Hold Steady's new album will be released in the United States on March 25th.
