The Cure

Thirteenth is unlucky for some, but goth legends The Cure are counting down to their thirteenth studio album with a series of singles, with "Sleep When I'm Dead" released on July 13th.

The band are continuing the 'thirteen' theme with another single release on the 13th of July. "Sleep When I'm Dead" is taken from the band's forthcoming thirteenth studio album, as yet untitled. Both previous singles were released on the 13th day of the month.

The Cure emerged from the post punk era with eyeliner and a nifty line in guitar led pop. Downbeat as a rule, the band gathered a cult following that culminated in transatlantic success. Essentially a vehicle for frontman Robert Smith, The Cure have been through more members, genres and image changes than any other band (apart from The Fall).

"Sleep When I'm Dead" will be backed with new B-side "Down Under". The Cure's new single will be available from July 13th.
