The Cure Single Bonanza

Band Score 4 Top 20 Hits

Goth rock legends The Cure have scored an amazing feat by landing an astonishing four singles in the Top 20 of the US charts, released this week.

The band, led by make up clad icon Robert Smith, have long been held in high regard stateside but this new achievement is in a different league altogether.

Four singles released over the past four months are currently in the upper echelons of the chart with "Perfect Boy (Mix 13)" at number eight, "Sleep When I'm Dead (Mix 13)" at number twelve, "Freakshow (Mix 13)" at number thirteen and "The Only One (Mix 13)" is at number eighteen.

The band released each song on the thirteenth day of the month, in preparation for the release of their thirteenth studio album "4:13 Dream" which is set to come out on October 28th.

An EP of remixes from these single will be release next week. Amongst the stars lining up to remix the band are My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz. All royalties from the EP will go to the International Red Cross.

The Cure's remix EP "Hypnagogic States" will be released on September 16th.
