The Child Of Lov Passes Away

Following a "life of struggle"

The Child Of Lov has passed away following complications due to surgery.

Responsible for one of last year's most curious, idiosyncratic debut LPs, The Child Of Lov kept his identity secret. Little was given away, although the artist was eventually unveiled as Dutch songwriter Cole Williams.

Sadly, it seems that the hugely promising artist has passed away. Rumours first emerged online, with The Child Of Lov's manager confirming the news to NME.

The Child Of Love passed away three days ago following complications due to surgery. In a note, his team reveal that the songwriter "lived a life of struggle" and can "now rest peacefully".

The note in full:

"On behalf of the family and as his manager I must announce that Martijn Teerlinck aka Cole Williams aka The Child of Lov aka Sun Patzer is no longer with us. He lived a life of struggle and can now rest peacefully. In his own words: ‘When I was younger, I had a tough time physically. I have seen too many hospital beds. It made me stronger. Makes you realize death is always near, for anyone. And what a wonderful thing life is and how grateful we should be.'"
