Returning psych-pop mavericks The Bees are set to support Paul Weller on his upcoming tour.
Retreating to the Isle Of Wight, The Bees began work on their fourth album last year. Swapping members, the group spent time experimenting with different songwriting and recording techniques.
Confirming details of their new album, The Bees have begun making preparations for their comeback. New album ‘Every Step’s A Yes’ is lingering on the release schedule, due for release on October 11th.
Signed to Fiction, the band will precede the album with their new single ‘I Really Need Love’. If you can’t wait until then, The Bees have made album taster ‘Silver Line’ available as a free download from their official site.
An always in demand live act, The Bees were recently confirmed as the main support on Paul Weller’s upcoming tour. The jaunt takes in some massive venues, including a final show at Wembley Arena.
The tour opens in Dublin, with a five night stand at the Olympia. Paul Weller was recently nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, and if recent live shows are anything to go by is on ferocious live form.
The upcoming shows take place throughout November and December, with The Bees set to play two nights at Brighton’s Centre venue. Other dates include shows in Birmingham, Cardiff, Bournemouth and the historic Empress Ballroom in Blackpool.
Tickets for upcoming tour are on sale now.
