Alongside Fleet Foxes and Villagers

The Bees have been added to the line up of this year's Eden Sessions, playing alongside Fleet Foxes.

Hailing from the Isle of Wight, The Bees seem to use a division from the mainland as an excuse to do their own thing. Recorded at home, the band's third album was one of the more charming slices of psych-pop ClashMusic came across last year.

Deeply unfashionable, of course, but then The Bees have never been concerned at becoming 'the next big thing'. The band dedicate themselves to classic songwriting, with 'Every Step's A Yes' containing some fresh, flowing melodic craft.

A real summer favourite, The Bees are now gearing up for the festival season. The band have confirmed a number of appearances, and have been added to the bill for the latest instalment of the Eden Sessions.

Taking place at the Eden Project, the concerts have grown to become a major part of the summer season. Sure, Cornwall is a long way to travel for most but the dramatic setting makes it all worth while.

The Bees are set to perform at the Eden Sessions, joining a concert on July 1st. The Isle of Wight band will be going up against some big names, with Fleet Foxes due to headline the concert.

The American group are plotting to release their second album 'Helplessness Blues' later this year. Organising a short series of British shows, Fleet Foxes will headline a special date at the Eden Sessions.

Support will come from Mercury nominated Irish act Villagers, with The Bees now added to the bill.

Elsewhere at the Eden Sessions, dates featuring Primal Scream and The Horrors (June 23rd), The Flaming Lips (June 30th) and a solo turn from Brandon Flowers (July 12th) have been confirmed.

Tickets are on sale now.

The Bees are due to play the Eden Sessions on July 1st.
