The B-52s are set to bring their live show to the UK this summer for a short burst of shows.
Clad in feather boas with enormous beehives, The B-52s chewed up the trashy elements of 50s and 60s pop culture and spat them out. A subversive, bizarre and above all fun phenomenon the band's back catalogue remains in reach whenever the Clash team head to a house party.
Returning in no little style for a one off show in their Athens, Georgia hometown back in 2011, The B-52s are now setting their sights on the UK.
Confirming plans for three headline shows, this represents a rare chance to catch the band in their natural environment. Set to play Manchester on August 13th, the band will then hit Birmingham on August 15th.
The short burst of dates ends with a date in London's Indigo2 venue on August 16th, with The B-52s set to draw on material recorded across their career. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 8th February priced at £30 (regionally) and £36.50/£33.50 (London).
Here's a lil taster.
