No really...

The Avalanches have posted a new demo online - grab 'A Cowboy Overflow of the Heart' now.
Ah, the long, tortured saga of the second Avalanches album. The Australian cut 'n' paste merchants struck gold first time out, with debut LP 'Since I Left You' leaving minds blown across the globe.
A quite superb mixture of realised ambition, 'Since I Left You' has been followed by a decade of stalled intentions and delays. Speculation rose earlier this year when both a mix and a rough demo emerged online, purporting to be from The Avalanches.
The band since opened up about the material, insisting that the demo was a rough cut dating back several years.
Now The Avalanches have stoked the fires still further, posting an actual, genuine, bona fide demo online. Available to anyone who signs up for their official newsletter, it's called 'A Cowboy Overflow of the Heart' and seems to be a short, spoken word poem.
Tagged with the line '(Avs + DCB demo #1)' the mp3 has immediately opened up all manner of speculation about that fated second album.
Nothing else left to report, simply enjoy the track HERE.
