It's a monster! Etc

One hit indie wonders The Automatic are due to play a string of British tour dates in support of their new single.

Is it time to call an end to the whole indie boom yet? With electro pop eating guitar groups alive many have either succumbed to the dark side (hello Noisettes!) or split altogether.

One hit wonders, maybe, but The Automatic retain a loyal fan base. Emerging from Wales the band's lively stage show and pop hook laden material made them instant favourites.

Debut album 'Not Accepted Anywhere' spawned the enormous single 'Monster'. The Automatic were soon festival favourites, capable of playing a high profile slot at RockNess where they led thousands in a chorus 'It's a monster!'

Since then, the band have lost one member but gained another. Alex Pennie departed the band, claiming he was exhausted by constant touring.

After this The Automatic returned with their rather less successful album 'This Is A Fix'. Currently recording their new album 'Tear The Signs Down' the record is due for release early next year.

Recorded in the band's Cardiff Studio, The Automatic are set to return with their new single 'Interstate' on December 7th.

With their new album due out in February, The Automatic have confirmed a host of UK tour dates:
