Could be some sunny spells...

Fans are arriving for this summer's T In The Park amid improving weather conditions.

For a while there, it didn't look great. Severe weather swept in across the East Coast of Scotland, causing problems with the travel network and throwing T In The Park fans into distress.

Scotland's biggest festival is due to take place this weekend, and rumours of a torrential downpour have caused no small measure of panic. Hundreds of weekend passes are available on eBay, with some available at bargain basement prices.

Yet this could backfire. The latest weather reports are improved slightly, with sunny spells expected throughout the day. Of course, there will also be heavy rain but this marks a substantial improvement on reports earlier in the week.

Cult STV weatherman Sean Batty claimed that while fans would suffer from showers the sun would also make an appearance. “T in the Park this year is looking rather showery. Most of the showers will be during the day, while by night it should be mainly dry for those camping."

“The showers will be slow moving and heavy, which means they could last quite some time and make things rather wet. The wettest day looks like being Friday when the showers could be fairly prolonged and heavy, while by Saturday the showers will be a bit more scattered" he explained.

Sunday will see Foo Fighters close the festival, with thousands expected to descend on the Main Stage for Dave Grohl's first appearance on Scottish soil in some time. "On Sunday it's still a case of sunshine and showers although hopefully by this time the showers will be lighter" said Batty.

Funnily enough, weather outside Clash Scotland has markedly improved. Packing up our ponchos, wellies and novelty hats the team were sweltering on their way to work as the poured down.

T In The Park opens today (July 8th). Expect live coverage from the ClashMusic team across the weekend.
