Super Furry Animals For Dubai Fest

Happy Mondays and more confirmed

Welsh psychedelic wonders Super Furry Animals are amongst the new names announced for Dubai Sound City.

The festival season is now truly international. From horizon to horizon fans cans travel and enjoy live music in almost every environment.

Dubai Sound City is a new event that brings some international acts to the United Arab Emirates. Combining a lush location with an eclectic bill the festival is an unusual new addition to the festival calendar.

Taking place between November 5th - 7th, Dubai Sound City has already confirmed appearances from the likes of Ian Brown and Ocean Colour Scene. Joining these two on the bill are a host of new names.

Welsh group Super Furry Animals have been confirmed for Dubai Sound City. The band recently released their new album 'Dark Days / Light Years' and hit the festival season hard. The Welsh group played a stunning set at Scotland's RockNess event and are now booked to play Dubai Sound City.

Also due to perform are vintage electro pop pioneers The Human League. Still capable of rocking the crowds with their international hits, The Human League are set to bring their illustrious back catalogue to Dubai.

Echo & The Bunnymen are also set to play the event, which could well be one of the band's first shows since the recent death of their keyboard player.

Unusually for a nation known to have a hardline stance on drugs, Happy Mondays have also been booked for Dubai Sound City. The baggy legends are famously debauched, but had better watch out in the United Arab Emirates.

Other acts confirmed for the bill are The Courteeners, Doves, Danish pop merchants Alphabeat and more.

Dubai Sound City is set to take place between November 5th - 7th.
