Sunday Best Soundtrack Football Game
'Big Match Striker' out now
Acclaimed label Sunday Best are set to soundtrack the new football game 'Big Match Striker'.
Sunday Best have always done their own thing. Founded by DJ and festival whizz-kid Rob da Bank in 1995 the imprint has built up an impressive roster which moves from rockabilly to out there electronica.
Hugely eclectic, Sunday Best have hooked up with games developer Supermassive Games to soundtrack a new project. 'Big Match Striker' is due to be released as a free download game, and fans will be able to slot away spectacular goals with some exclusive tracks from Sunday Best in the background.
The new project will see Sunday Best donate over 40 tracks from their wide ranging stable of artists. Matching the all action game to music, the label has drawn on the full wealth of its roster.
'Big Match Striker' will contain material from spoken word duo Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip as well as Dub Pistols, Lucky Elephant and more. Electro-pop wizards Grand National will also appear, alongside a number of label mates.
Containing a wealth of music, the soundtrack to 'Big Match Striker' will be typically eclectic. Using a new controller if you quite fancy grabbing one of the tracks you can, with the soundtrack available to buy during the game.
Geraint Orchard-Bungay has worked closely on the games' development and is obviously delighted to witness its completion. “We’re thrilled to offer our players a soundtrack of the highest quality with a diverse and hugely popular mix of music" he said.
"The quality of the music is consistent with the depth and quality of the entire game, which, quite frankly, is equivalent to a boxed retail title that you'd expect to pay £40 for. We feel that we're setting a whole new standard for free to play online games.”
'Big Match Striker' is out now.
