Strokes Frontman For Comedy Album
Casablancas Joins Saturday Night Live
The Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas has announced he will join the 'Saturday Night Live' team to collaborate on a forthcoming album set to be released in February, which will see the N.Y. hero join the infamous 'Lonely Island' team (writers Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone and cast-member Andy Samberg), to record the track 'Boombox' for the album entitled 'Incredibad'.
The team have already had huge success on Digital channels such as YouTube, where their 'Dick In A Box' clip saw Justin Timberlake collaborate, and their 'Natalie Raps' skit saw A-list actress Natalie Portman join in the frolicks.
With The Strokes currently working on an array of various side projects, from drummer Fab Moreti's Little Joy to Nicolai Fraiture's Nickel Eye LP due out next year, the band are continuing their solo plans before re-grouping to record album number four in 2009.
