Tone Of Arc have constructed a heavyweight mix for Fabric ahead of their London performance this weekend.
One of the most vital clubs in the UK, Fabric's booking policy matches huge names with newcomers, heavyweights with little known talent. Tone Of Arc comprise a little of both, in that it is a new project from a producer whose face could well be familiar.
Based in San Francisco, Derrick Boyd previously worked under the name Dead Seal. As much inspired by classic rock as left field electronics, new outfit Tone Of Arc is designed to express these influences in a live setting.
A collaboration with Zoe Presnick, it's fun, driving disco-house with a low slung feel. Set to play Room One at Fabric this Saturday (October 12th) the duo opted to construct a new mix specially for the London nightspot.
It's an intriguing listen. Chock full of pin-point techno and frothy house, there's a brooding atmosphere which over-runs the party beats.
