Cass McCombs is streaming his new album 'Humor Risk' ahead of its release on November 7th.

As a songwriter, Cass McCombs is a quite distinct blend of light and shade. Earlier this year, the American artist released 'Wit's End' - a stark, introspective work that saw him retreat from press attention.

Yet less than 12 months later the songwriter appears reinvigorated. Cass McCombs is preparing to release 'Humor Risk' on November 7th, a refreshing, redemptive work with a vein of confidence and humour.

Shaking off the weights that seemingly bound him during the making of 'Wit's End' the songwriter is pushing ahead with his life. Produced by Cass McCombs and Ariel Rechtshaid, 'Humor Risk' was constructed at various homes and studios in California, New York, New Jersey and Chicago.

Taken from the album, new single 'Robin Egg Blue' will be released on November 21st. Cass McCombs has crafted additional material from the 45, with Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend applying some extra production to 'Robin Egg Blue (Gun Drum Mix)'.
