A video inspired by Can's lost track 'Dead Pigeon Suite' has emerged online - watch it here.

Can's long, meandering path produced an inspirational, bewildering back catalogue. However earlier this year Mute began to hint that the German group had discovered reels of unreleased material in the vault.

Gathered on 'The Lost Tapes' the subsequent 3-CD collection is one of the most beautiful objects to pass through the Clash office in some time.

Visual artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard obviously agreed, and crafted a number of films inspired by individual tracks. The clip for 'Dead Pigeon Suite' has emerged online, watch it below.

Earlier this year, Clash spoke to Can founder Irmin Schmidt about his life, career and 'The Lost Tapes'. Asked about the central unity of the group's work the musician thought for a moment below.

"I can look on the work in these ten years and the whole thing, of course. It makes a kind of work of art, and the most important unit is that it... one of the important thing is it was changing all the time and you still identify Can. But it’s still something new and it’s changing all the time. Although it’s changing, it has identity..."
