Stereophonics Deny Collaboration

Welsh wonders Steroephonics have denied speculation that they are to record a song with Oasis and champion boxers Ricky Hatton and Joe Clazaghe.

Tabloid rumor had it that Stereophonics and Oasis were to team up with the boxers on a new Christmas track. Titled 'Hi Ho Hatton' speculation has been building all year with multiple reports about the rumored track.

However, in a new interview with the BBC Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones denied any knowledge of the track. "My mother told me about that, she phoned me up and she said it's in the paper... I know Joe but I haven't seen him for a few years,” he said.

“We used to play charity football matches together but I don't know where that story's come from."

Bassist Richard Jones added: "We were going to go over to New York and play a gig for all Calzaghe's fans in Madison Square Gardens or somewhere like that. It didn't come together, so maybe somebody put two and two together and came back with sixteen."
