Stereophonics Album Success
Chart Round Up
Welsh wizards of rock Stereophonics were amongst this week's (November 17th) chart successes with their new best of collection 'Decade In The Sun' hitting number two.
Containing the trio's biggest hits, the new collection is obviously proving to be the perfect stocking filler in the run up to the festive period. Moving from the fresh faced youngsters who recorded 'Word Gets Around' to the career defining hit 'Dakota' this is the perfect distillation of one of the most successful British acts of recent years.
Elsewhere in the top ten Kings Of Leon remain in the upper echelons with album 'Only By The Night' at number four. The Southern indie overlords have had a hugely successful year, with their new UK arena tour selling out in just minutes.
In the singles chart returning Las Vegas indie-dance icons The Killers soared into the top five on the back of 'Human'. Taken from their forthcoming 'Day And Age' album, the song is a typically anthemic slice of dancefloor action. However at number one this week is the X Factor finalists - how long until they declare Simon Cowell 'Supreme Ruler Of The Universe'.
