Acclaimed British songwriter Stephen Fretwell has confirmed details of a short winter tour.

Hailing from Scunthorpe, Stephen Fretwell is one of Britain's highest regarded songwriters - yet he has never achieved wide success.

Now located in Manchester the singer has released a series of critically acclaimed EPs and albums. Deeply indebted to Bob Dylan, Stephen Fretwell's deft finger work and laid back vocals has made him a critical darling.

Raining friends in high places, Stephen Fretwell has supported Oasis and gained the attention of Alex Turner. Invited to join Last Shadow Puppets the songwriter played bass on the band's massive tour.

Currently working on the follow up to his 2007 album 'Man On The Roof' Stephen Fretwell has promised to showcase new material on some upcoming tour dates.

Currently putting the finishing touches to his third album, the cult songwriter played a massive British tour across the summer. Opening in Wolverhampton the jaunt finished with Stephen Fretwell entertaining crowds in Dublin.

Now the singer is set to head back out on the road. Stephen Fretwell has confirmed details of a short UK tour, opening with a show in York's Pocklington Arts Centre on December 14th.

Playing a series of intimate venues, the singer is set to unveil a host of new material.
