Springsteen Rocks Superbowl

Singer plays sporting event

Iconic American singer Bruce Springsteen has played a stunning set at this year's Superbowl event in Tampa, Florida.

The set took place in the early hours of this morning (February 2nd). One of the world's biggest sporting events, the Superbowl is beamed into the homes of several hundred million people.

Backed by the E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen played a four song set cramming some career highlights into his twelve minute slot. Entering the arena, the singer yelled "ladies and gentlemen for the next 12 minutes we’re going to bring the righteous and mighty power of the E Street Band into your beautiful home!"

“I want you to step back from the guacamole, I want you to put the chicken fingers down and turn your television all the way up!”

The Boss then stood atop a grand piano, shouting "what I wanna know is: is anybody alive out there? Is there anybody alive out there?”

Bruce Springsteen opened with 'Tenth Avenue Freeze Out' before playing his classic song 'Born To Run'. New single 'Working On A Dream' followed before finishing with 'Glory Days'.

The singer left the arena shouting "I'm going to Disneyland" due to the event taking place in Florida.
