One song at a time...
Spinning Coin

Funny how the world works.

Spinning Coin sit in that lineage of DIY socialist pop in Glasgow, a heritage that includes The Yummy Fur and The Pastels.

Pastels' singer Stephen McRobbie runs the Geographic label, whose new signings are... Spinning Coin.

The band leaped on board Geographic for a single release last year, a piece of spiky guitar pop that sounded like a fusion of barbed wire and cotton candy.

New single 'Raining On Hope Street' tackles the dark clouds hovering over the political landscape, using a three minute odd-pop song to rebel against the lurking tide of right wing thought.

Tune in now.
