Liverpool's annual indie showcase Sound City is set to return in just over a weeks time, with The Zutons, The Soft Pack and Mongrel now joining the bill with the likes of White Lies and Little Boots.

Taking over dozens of venues across the city and attracting thousands of fans, Sound City remains one of the UK's biggest new music showcases, with over 400 bands playing.

Set to play the event are San Diego new-wave heroes The Soft Pack, themselves currently looking like one of the most hotly-tipped acts of the summer, with their ace http://www.clashmusic.com/news/soft-pack-ep-update">'Extinction' EP set to be released on the 25th May.

John McClure's indie-rap assault Mongrel will also play the event, as well as this year's Love Music Hate Racism festival (read up on the latest movements from the highly political outfit HERE).

Finally The Zutons will headline the event, which looks set to be a triumphant homecoming show for the band - themselves only playing a select batch of live dates this summer.
