SMD Produce Nike Track
Dance Act Create Exercise Track
Dance duo Simian Mobile Disco have produced a 30 minute exercise track for Nike, it has been announced.
James Ford and James Anthony Shaw aka Simian Mobile Disco have teamed up with exercise firm Nike to produce a new track. The 30 minute long piece of music will be called 'Run' and is designed to compliment a work out.
'Run' begins with a slow tempo before speeding up into the a running workout before slowing down again. The piece has been designed with an optimum workout in mind. LCD Soundsystem recently produced a similar track called '45:33' designed for the same purpose.
Simian Mobile Disco formed as the band Simian in 2005. They quickly turned to DJ duties, becoming prominent remixers of other people's material before a Justice remix of 'We Are Your Friends' brought the group back into public attention. Simian Mobile Disco's debut album 'Attack Decay Sustain Release' was released in 2007.
Simian Mobile Disco recently confirmed that Beth Ditto and Gruff Rhys, of the Gossip and Super Furry Animals respectively, would contribute vocals to their forthcoming second album.
Simian Mobile Disco have released a new track called 'Run' - it is available on iTunes now.
